Goodwill hires training specialist
Goodwill's Shoreline Workforce Development Services has chosen Sharon Theocharides as on-the-job-training jobs placement specialist for the Santa Cruz region.
The program offers partial subsidized employment with the goal of permanent unsubsidized employment. Participating employers are reimbursed 50 percent of the training wages during the training period.
Theocharides previously was manager at Vocational Rehabilitation Specialists Inc., working with veterans, and interfacing with the department of Veterans Administration.
Before that she worked for Paychex and ADP. She has a bachelor's degree from San Jose State University and a master's in human resources and organization development from University of San Francisco.
