Clinics open Saturday for community
Three Monterey County Health Clinics will be open Saturday to meet the community's need for additional health care appointments.
Laurel Family Practice Laurel Pediatrics and Seaside Family Health Center will be open 8 a.m. to noon.
Clinics are taking appointments and walk-in patients.

Sheriff's office buys two new motorcycles
The Monterey County Sheriff's Office has acquired two dual-purpose motorcycles suitable for on-road and off-road patrolling, said Sheriff Scott Miller.
The BMW G650gs bikes will be used during special events, such as the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, sporting events and concerts at Laguna Seca Recreation Area, and holiday weekends at Lake San Antonio, as well as routine patrolling and special enforcement details, Miller said.
Yacht Club crew mixer at Wharf No. 2
The Monterey Peninsula Yacht Club annual crew mixer will be held 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Monterey Municipal Wharf No. 2.
It is open to anyone interested in serving as crew during sailing competitions on Monterey Bay.
