Comerica offers 2013 outlook

Comerica Bank presents a 2013 "Economic and Investment Outlook" featuring senior vice president and chief economist Robert Dye and chief investment officer Dennis Johnson at a Santa Cruz Chamber of Commerce luncheon 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hotel Paradox, 611 Ocean St. They will talk about how the economy could affect you and your business.

Piper named to Wells Fargo post

Wells Fargo & Co. has named Denise Piper as business banking president for the South Bay, which includes Santa Cruz County. She will be based in San Jose.

A 20-year banking veteran, she comes from JP Morgan Chase Business Banking in the East Bay and San Jose, where she was area manager. Before that, she was with Bank of the West, Fremont Bank and Washington Mutual.

She began her career with Wells Fargo and held positions in retail banking and business banking.
