Three robbers pulled off stickups of two markets within 20 minutes of each other Thursday, sheriff's deputies said.

The first happened about 8:40 a.m. at the Oak Park Market, 336 San Juan Grade Road outside Salinas, where the robbers couldn't get any cash but took a bottle of Crown Royal, deputies said. One pistol was displayed.

The second holdup took place at the Elkhorn Superette, 2016 Elkhorn Road outside Castroville, where the trio took cash, alcohol and a wallet from a clerk, deputies said. Two handguns were drawn by the robbers.

One of the robbers wore a white Chicago Bulls cap with a red brim, deputies said.
