The meeting, held at the Downtown Center, drew more than 30 downtown residents and business people who brought up the various topics.
Some of those in attendance said entertainment businesses generate noise, trash and other concern that in some instance have prompted residents to move out of the area.
Others said such matters are the growing pains of a successful downtown.
City Council members said the matters should be addressed and the meeting served as the starting point to finding solutions to those concerns.
City administrators will research the various matters and present information to City Council members at a future date.
City administrators will present an original draft of the city's entertainment ordinance and the final version Council members adopted; information on traffic patterns and information on the city's current noise ordinance.
