Miss Mooshi is an approximately 1-year-old, 50-pound, shorthaired, all-American mixed breed. She is a silly, dorky, playful, fun, independent and affectionate girl.
She came to the shelter nearly bald (her fur has grown in nicely since then) and went into a foster home with six other dogs (ranging from tiny to large and young adult to senior), where she has thrived. She loves being part of a pack and plays equally with the two others in the house that will allow her rough-and-tumble style.
Mooshi loves to play tug of war with other dogs or with people, to wrestle nonstop with either of her two regular playmates, adores runs in the woods or at the beach, and makes a morning ritual of sleeping atop her 10-year-old human foster sister as a four-legged alarm clock.
She has a self-sufficient, independent side and will sometimes take herself away from the crowd for "me" time, showing a wisdom about her needs beyond what her foolish grin and klutzy no-sense-of-personal-space demeanor let on. Because of this habit, she would like best if the youngest of her adopters were old enough to respect her need for downtime.
She greets all comers with a smile and a wag (and an invitation to play). She is still a goofy teenager in many ways and has a ways to go yet to mature into a fine canine citizen. Attending a six-week basic-training class together is wonderful for bonding with a new dog, too! We offer a list
