Regional water system
A draft document related to the environmental impacts of a proposed system that would tie together the waterworks of five area agencies is available for public review, with comments due by 5 p.m. April 15.
The system would tie together the San Lorenzo, Scotts Valley, and Lompico water districts and the Santa Cruz and Soquel Mount Hermon Association water departments, but would only be used in emergencies.
The San Lorenzo Valley Water District said the documents show the project would not result in any potentially significant impacts that cannot be mitigated.
To view the document, go to www. slvwd.com or to the district office, 13060 Highway 9, Boulder Creek. Comments must be submitted in writing to James Mueller, San Lorenzo Valley Water District, 13060 Highway 9, Boulder Creek, CA 95066, or by email to jmueller@slvwd.com.
