BONNY DOON -- Two young women were hurt in a single-car crash about 8 p.m. Saturday in the 6000 block of Bonny Doon Road, authorities said.

The driver lost control and struck a gate and a tree, Cal Fire said. There were four people inside the small four-door maroon car, Cal Fire said.

Jail records show that the driver of the car, 23-year-old Daniel Skye Radakovich, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence causing injury.

Cal Fire Engineer James Sutter said the driver and a male passenger declined medical care while one of the female passengers was flown to an out-of-county trauma center and the other was taken to a local hospital by ambulance.

Bonny Doon volunteer firefighters assisted as well, Sutter said.

The investigating California Highway Patrol officer could not be reached Sunday morning to comment.
