Fencing Olympian to make her point
Join Olympian Barbra Higgins at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Pleasanton library. She will share stories from her Olympic experience, when she represented Panama in the 1984 games.
She will bring fencing equipment, talk about her sport and share film highlights of Northern California Olympians. Higgins, the vice president and CFO of the Bay Area Hall of Fame, is also a member of the executive board of the Northern California Olympians Alumni Association.

Living history speakers to help bring back past
Speakers will help recreate the San Ramon Valley's past with special talks every Saturday during March at the Museum of the San Ramon Valley.
As part of the current exhibit "What's In a Name: Tracing Our Valley's Early Families," the speakers will talk to museum visitors at 10:30 a.m. about the valley's storied past and will discuss local pioneer family portraits and other historic items on display.
