OAKLAND -- A woman shot to death April 23 during an attempted robbery in East Oakland has been identified as Antoinesha Williams, 21, authorities said Monday.
Williams, an Oakland resident, was in a car with several other people in the 1500 block of 24th Avenue when they were confronted by two men, one with a gun. The men tried to rob Williams and shot her when she tried to drive away, police said.
She was able to drive a few blocks to the 2300 block of Foothill Boulevard where help was summoned. She died later at a hospital.
No one else was hurt.
