ALBANY -- Police are on the lookout for a man suspected of impersonating a maintenance worker and exposing himself to women at the University Village married student housing complex over the past week, according to UC Berkeley police.

Three incidents were reported to police, occurring on Friday and Monday. One of the incidents on Monday happened inside an apartment with two children present, when he knocked on the door of an apartment.

The woman who lived there told police the man identified himself as a maintenance worker, saying he was there to do repairs. The man walked around the apartment, then went into the bathroom and emerged with his pants down.

The woman screamed and ran out of the apartment, police said.

He was described as a white man about 50 years old, 6 feet tall with a thin build and long brown hair, wearing beige or khaki pants and white tennis shoes. One one day he was wearing beige shorts and a long-sleeved plaid shirt, police said.

Police are asking anyone with any information on the man to call 510-642-0472 or 510-642-6760.
