OAKLAND -- Four suspected gang members were arrested during a series of police raids Tuesday morning in East Oakland, in connection with a Jan. 29 homicide investigation.

Dozens of officers, including members of the SWAT team, raided locations on 13th Avenue, High Street and two other places beginning at 5:30 a.m., police said.

The four arrrested on probable cause warrants were all men. They were being interviewed Tuesday afternoon by investigators.

Their names were not released and none had been booked as of Tuesday afternoon.

The arrests were tied to the January killing of 20-year-old Jordan Chhit of Oakland, who was fatally shot at an East Oakland birthday party, police said.

Three other people were injured in the shooting, which happened at 1:47 a.m. Jan. 29 outside a house on the 1700 block of 20th Avenue.

A 34-year-old Antioch man and a 23-year-old Oakland man were wounded outside the house and a 28-year-old woman inside was grazed in the head by a bullet that went through a window, police said.

Police believe the shooting was gang related.

Oakland police were assisted Tuesday morning by the Alameda County Sheriff's Department, Fremont and San Leandro police. The Union City Police Department's armored car was used in the raids, and Oakland police used their helicopter.
