"America's Got Talent" has three women targeted for the judge's chair vacated by Sharon Osbourne last season, according to TMZ.
The website's sources say producers allegedly have their eyes on Shannen Doherty, Carly Simon and LeAnn Rimes. The show is supposedly looking for a strong and opinionated woman.
Right ... Carly Simon. That Carly Simon. Right ... the one from the '70s. The one no one under the age of 50 will be able to identify.
The spot became available over the summer after Osbourne decided to quit because, she claimed, NBC dropped her son Jack from a reality show due to his MS diagnosis.
It's possible that might not be the only seat the show has to fill. Howard Stern and Howie Mandel are reportedly not under contract for next season. So the show might have an entirely new panel.
As for Doherty, Simon and Rimes, allegedly no offers have been made yet.
NBC spokesman Sharon Pannozzo said no such list of prospective judges exists. But TMZ said their sources are good ones. Because if they weren't, they'd certainly say so.
