OAKLAND -- After two shootings late Friday, the city saw yet another homicide Saturday afternoon after a shooting near Jack London Square left one person dead, police said.

Officers responded to the 400 block of 3rd Street around 2:45 p.m., where they found 24-year-old Michael Taylor lying in the street suffering from gunshot wounds, Oakland police said. Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police added that Taylor may have been walking with other people when he was approached by an unknown assailant and shot.

There are no motives and no suspects in Taylor's shooting.

Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $10,000 in reward money for information leading to the arrest of the suspect in Taylor's death.

In addition to the homicide, four other shootings occurred in Oakland on Saturday afternoon, though none of the victims had life-threatening injuries.

Three of the shootings involved male victims. One involved a female victim.
