Police arrest transient for parole violation
Capitola police arrested John Slusher, a transient who was wanted by authorities for a parole violations.
Slusher was arrested about 7 p.m. Friday behind Save Mart on 41st Avenue as officers canvassed the area for a report of a stolen car. Police say Slusher, a parolee at large, was acting suspicious and refused to cooperate when questioned.
He was booked into County Jail on suspicion of a parole violation, providing false information to a police officer and possession of methamphetamine.
