WALNUT CREEK -- The jackpot $33 million lottery ticket from Wednesday's drawing was sold at a Walnut Creek gas station, but the ticket has yet to be claimed, Lottery officials said.
Lottery spokesman Alex Traverso said the ticket was purchased at Heather Farm Shell Station at 1790 Ygnacio Valley Road in Walnut Creek.
The drawing of the winning jackpot numbers, which happened at 8 p.m. Wednesday, also included four other winning tickets whose values are roughly $17,588 each.
The winning numbers for the $33 million jackpot were 1, 2, 3, 22, 34 and the mega number was 8.
An employee at the gas station refrained from commenting Wednesday night, but did say he had received a call that one of the tickets was sold at the station.
Traverso said the lucky ticketholder will most likely come forward after they check their ticket in the coming days.
Once the individual files their claim paperwork with the Lottery, it will take between six to eight weeks before they are able to take home their winnings.
"The jackpot doesn't get this big very often," he said. "And this is pretty big."
