Remember back in 2002 when Cher launched her "Farewell Tour?" And remember how it took her nearly 3 years and more than 320 concerts in front of more than 5 million fans for her to actually say "Farewell?"

Well forget it. The whole kit and kaboodle. Turns out Cher wasn't going anywhere.

On Monday, the entertainer announced she'll kick off a new concert tour in March that will take her to 49 cities, including a July 2 stop at the SAP Center in San Jose.

The "Dressed to Kill" tour will be in support of her new album "Closer to the Truth," which comes out Tuesday.

There was no information on concert tickets Monday, other than that pre-sales are expected to start next week.
