ANTIOCH -- Local drivers should brace themselves for traffic delays at all hours of the day on Somersville Road/Auto Center Drive this week.
The thoroughfare will be closed in both directions during the overnight hours later this week as work continues to widen Highway 4, while there will be single lane closures during the day, according to a Caltrans news release.
All lanes of Somersville/Auto Center will be closed between the Highway 4 on-ramps from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. overnight Thursday and Friday.
The off-ramps at the Somersville/Auto Center exit will remain open, but turns limited, Caltrans said.
A single lane in both directions of Somersville/Auto Center will be closed between Century Boulevard and Delta Fair Boulevard 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
On Highway, there will be a single lane closure eastbound between the Loveridge Road and Contra Loma Boulevard/L Street exits, and from midnight to 6 a.m. overnight Monday through Friday, and a lane from Contra Loma/L to Hillcrest Avenue closing an hour earlier on those nights.
One lane westbound direction will be closed from Hillcrest to Loveridge 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. overnight Monday, and from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. overnight Friday.
Some road closures are scheduled for Somersville/Auto Center and the westbound on-ramp at Contra Loma/L.
There are no other lane or road closures scheduled this week on Highway 4.
