We return to the Brainiacs' camp, also known as the Camp With No Food, not to mention clues. J'Tia is happy that she didn't get chopped, and Kass and Tasha make an alliance with her to vote Spencer off at the first opportunity, which should be soon.
At Camp Brawn, Tony has an alliance with himself, Tony and little Tony, his hidden immunity idol. He's sitting by the fire, alone with his ego, when Sarah joins him and he decides to whisper a confession that he, like Sarah, is a cop. Sarah had suspected it but he denied it earlier. He takes this opportunity to celebrate their cop bonding by telling a blatant lie about Cliff and Lindsey wanting to vote her off. The solidify their Cops R Us alliance with Sarah swearing on her badge to be true blue. Tony later tells the camera you can swear on your kids or whatever, it don't mean nothing.
And then the rain came.
Survivors struggle at all three camps to stay warm and dry, and keep the fires burning, but the storm is unrelenting.
Woo, from Team Muscle, is happy. This is what "Survivor" is all about and he is stoked. Tony thinks he's in hell, although we always thought it was a lot warmer and with less rain.
At Camp Beauty, the lovely faces are sad. It's raining and there are flies. Jefra complains they have been in soaking wet water for 24 hours, and more water starts leaking from her eyes.
LJ says all of the women want him and Jeremiah to build the shelter while they do nothing. But he's planning to keep his mouth shut. And with nothing else to do, he decides to go looking for the hidden immunity idol where earlier they had seen Morgan searching. Morgan had gotten the first clue but failed to find it.
But LJ finds it because apparently, there is a brain in the pretty head. He promises to keep it a secret from everyone.
Tree mail arrives and the clue lets the players know we're back in the water with the next challenge. Tribes will form a fire bucket brigade of sorts, tossing a bucket of water down the line and then tossing the water at the last person in line.
Tasha wants to practice, J'Tia wants to eat, which is sad because she tossed most of the rice, and Kass wants to decorate the shelter. Spencer just wants to be left alone. But Tasha eventually gets everyone out in the water and they do pretty well.
Tribes arrive at the challenge. They'll be tossing buckets and catching water in order to fill a bigger bucket that when full will tip and release a ball, which will be used to solve a vertical maze. In addition to immunity, there is a reward to help with their shelters (tarps and comfort for first, a tarp for second).
Beauty and Brawn make it through the first phase, in that order. The Brains can barely get a drop in their bucket, but they eventually get enough to release the ball and they head to the maze. Brawn finishes in first place but with Kass and Spencer working on the puzzle for the Brainiacs, they figure out a couple of short cuts and finish in second place. Beauty is headed to tribal council with Jeff Probst.
Team Muscle is happy with their win, especially Tony who is amazed at how amazing his brain is working. He thinks there probably will a clue to the idol hidden in the supplies and he doesn't want anyone else to find it, although he's already found a clue and the idol. Sure enough, he says, a piece of paper falls out of the hammock. We think it probably said "Approved by Inspector No. 5."
Beauty Camp is not a happy camp. Lovely, but unhappy. Just in case, Jeremiah asks if anyone wants to go home. No one admits to it, so Jeremiah, LJ, Alexis and Jefra agree to vote off Brice. But Jeremiah is in a secret alliance with Morgan and Brice, who want to vote off Alexis. Morgan tries to bring Jefra in with them. Jefra is so confused.
Jefra goes to Jeremiah with what she's learned, but he practically denies even knowing Brice and Morgan.
The alliance of four decides to split the vote, the two men voting for Brice and the women for Morgan. They think there will be a three-way tie and in a revote, they'll vote off Brice.
Probst asks how the players feel about being on the beauty tribe. Morgan is happy. They are a good looking group. Brice talks about being a butterfly who has emerged and is flitting about.
Jefra tells Probst that she was shocked to learn that people had actually talked strategy before today. She had no idea there were alliances. Brice says it's been obvious from the start there were groups formed. And he admits he's voting for Alexis because she doesn't pull her own weight, which is about 90 pounds.
Brice says the talk of the town has been about hidden idols, but you have to go with the flow. Everyone seems to think they know "how it's going to go," but hint about surprises. And with that, they head to the voting booth.
Probst tallies and reads the votes: Alexis, Brice, Morgan. And sure enough, all three draw two votes. The three that didn't get votes are left to vote again for one of the three who did get votes. This time, Brice gets his torch snuffed. We'll miss his snark.
Next time: Brawn considers throwing a challenge to get someone off.
