Looks like Justin Bieber won't be headed to jail any time soon.

Half of America just breathed a sigh of relief; the other half groaned.

Miami prosecutors are working with Bieber's lawyers on a deal in which the singer pleads no contest to reckless driving, in exchange for dropping the more serious charges of DUI, resisting arrest and driving without a license, TMZ reports. That deal would give Bieber a year of probation, TMZ adds, but likely would not include random drug testing, which his lawyers have contested from the beginning.

In January, Bieber was arrested in Miami after allegedly drag racing. Police reports said Bieber admitted at the time of his arrest to having consumed alcohol and prescription medications.
