CONCORD — A carjacker approached a woman just after she pulled into a gas station this morning, threatened her with a spray canister and drove away in her car, police said.
The woman drove her 2003 black four-door Honda Civic into a Chevron station in the 3100 block of Willow Pass Road just after 6 a.m., Cpl. Kerry Cerletti said. When she got out to pay for gas, a man walked up to her and pointed a spray canister of unknown contents at her face.
The woman backed off, and the man got into her car and drove onto Willow Pass Road toward Highway 4, Cerletti said.
Police searched the area and sent out a county-wide alert for the car, but it has not been found.
The woman described her attacker as a black man about 5 feet 7 inches tall with a thin build and wearing a black sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his face and black pants.
Police said the license plate number of the stolen car is 5AAA723.
