OAKLAND - Two men, one armed with a gun, robbed the Blockbuster Video store at 3868 Piedmont Ave. early Thursday morning.

Police said the suspects entered the store about 12:05 a.m, acted as if they were going to rent a video and waited until other customers left the store. Then, they pulled a gun on the two store employees.

They told them, "This is a robbery" and forced them into a back room. The bandits took the employees' mobile phones and forced one employee to open the store safe.

The two men took cash from the safe and grabbed several Sony Play Sation video games, valued at $1,400, on their way out.

Investigators are trying to determine if the robbery was linked to any other takeover robberies in the city
