San Jose police picked up 12 men and one boy throughout the city after a year and half long investigation in the violent street gang El Hoyo Palmas, a branch of the Norteño gang.

The men are:

Samuel Castro, 22, arrested on suspicion of four homicides, five attempted homicides and conspiracy.

Orlando Rojas, 18, arrested on suspicion of one homicide, four attempted homicides and conspiracy.

Michael Espana, 19, arrested on suspicion of four homicides and two attempted homicides.

Johnny Armenta, 18, arrested on suspicion of two attempted homicides and conspiracy.

Presciliano Ortega, 22, arrested on suspicion of two attempted homicides and conspiracy. Prior convictions: active practicipation in a criminal street gang.

Hector DelReal, 22, arrested on suspicion of on attempted homicide, one assault with a deadly weapon and twice shooting into a home with people in it.

Gene Sanchez, 29, arrested on suspicion of conspiracy. Proir convictions: felony robbery and grand theft.

Jose Garcia, 29, arrested on suspicion of perjury.

Robert Cruz, 18, arrested on suspicion of witness intimidation.

Martin Urena, 19, arrested on suspicion of witness intimidation.

Issac Flores, 18, arrested on suspicion of attempted homicide, assault with a deadly weapon and twice shooting into a home with people in it.
