Brothers to be tried together in San Jose cold-case
Over the objections of defense attorneys, a Santa Clara County judge ruled Friday that two brothers accused of killing a San Jose woman 25 years ago will be prosecuted together rather than in two separate trials.

Police: San Jose, Gilroy residents arrested in Riverside County kidnapping and pimping scheme

Five people from Gilroy and San Jose were arrested in Southern California over the weekend after they kidnapped a Compton woman at gunpoint and tried to force her into prostitution in Riverside County, authorities said.
