Two men were shot and killed within three blocks of each other Friday night in East Palo Alto.

Officers responded to the 2200 block of Terra Bella Street at about 8:20 p.m. after gunfire was detected by the city's Shotspotter system. There they found 21-year-old Christopher Baker, a resident of the city, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Baker was pronounced deceased at the scene, police said.

At 11:13 p.m., police responded to gunshots on the 300 block of Azalia Drive.

There, officers found 24-year-old East Palo Alto resident Lonnie Brown suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, police said. Brown was also pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
