DANVILLE -- The town has created a website about its controversial 2030 General Plan Update.

The site is www.danvillegeneralplan.com.

It is intended to serve as a resource for Danville residents for gathering information on the plan update. Residents can examine the 200-page plan or read a brief overview. The site contains a detailed general plan fact sheet and updated information on meeting schedules in regards to the general plan update process.

"As we go through this process, citizens are looking for information on the general plan update. This web site should make this easier to find while providing answers to many of the questions raised," Town Manager Joe Calabrigo said in a news release. "The Town of Danville is actively listening and committed to ensuring that all voices are heard."

Planning commission meetings on the plan have drawn many hundreds of residents, many upset about sites indicated in the plan as possible future locations for affordable housing, and other issues.
