PLEASANT HILL -- The Contra Costa County Board of Education expects to vote Wednesday on a proposal to allow Clayton Valley Charter High to lease space at nearby Cal State East Bay, Concord.

The plan was prompted by a waiting list of more than 150 students, which the school expects to remain constant in future years, according to a staff report. In addition, the report states that leasing space on the college campus would complement the school's Early College Academy, which will allow students to obtain college credit while in high school.

The public can comment on the proposal at 5 p.m. in the County Office of Education board room at 77 Santa Barbara Road in Pleasant Hill. More information is available by calling 925-942-3380 or by visiting www.cocoschools.org. Click on "County Board," then "Agendas and Minutes."
