OAKLAND -- A pedestrian suffered minor injuries after being hit by a car Monday afternoon when four cars collided in North Oakland, police said.

The crash at 2:10 p.m. resulted in one of the vehicles, a Toyota 4-Runner, crashing through a fence and bumping up against a house at 4907 Shattuck Ave., said Sgt. Wendy Chan. The driver was not injured.

The man was walking in the 4900 block of Shattuck when he was hit by a car, but it wasn't immediately clear which one hit him. He was taken to a hospital with complaints of minor aches and pains, Chan said.

All four cars wound up on the sidewalk in the collision. No other injuries were reported, police said.
