Here are some local fundraisers to help 11-year-old Aaron Hern, who was injured by shrapnel in Monday's Boston Marathon bombings:

  • Roxx on Main Street, a restaurant located at 627 Main Street in Martinez, will donate all of its profits from business it does on Tuesdays to the Herns until Aaron is back home.

  • The Compass Star Cafe & Wine Bar, located at 915 Main Street in Martinez, will donate proceeds from its evening sales from Wednesday through Saturday. Advanced recommendations are strongly urged given the limited size of the venue. To make reservations, call 925-370-3142.

  • Mountain Mike's Pizza, located at 1160 Arnold Drive in Martinez, will donate 30 percent of all money from purchases made on Wednesday through Sunday to the Hern Family.

  • The following Kinder's barbecue restaurants will donate 15 percent of purchases made from Sunday through April 24 to the Hern Family: 5411 Lone Tree Way, Brentwood; 1776 Arnold Industrial Way, Concord; 536 Center Ave., Martinez; 2227 Morello Ave., Pleasant Hill; 1831 Ygnacio Valley Road, Walnut Creek; 1293 Parkside Drive, Walnut Creek.

  • The Alhambra High PTSA is asking for donations, with 100 percent of them going to the Hern family. Checks can be made payable to AHS PTSA and mailed to PTSA Alhambra High School, 150 E St., Martinez, Ca, 94553. Write "Outreach for Herns" in the memo.
