A's right fielder Josh Reddick underwent surgery on his right wrist Wednesday.

The surgery, performed by Dr. Mark Belsky at Wellesley Hospital (Mass.), should have Reddick healthy and ready to go come spring training.

The wrist was a problem for Reddick virtually all season. He suffered the initial injury in Houston during Oakland's first road series of the year, and while he went on the disabled list twice in an effort to get the wrist right, it never was.

Reddick, who led the club with 32 homers and 85 RBIs in 2012, was limited to 12 homers and 56 RBIs while hitting .226 in 2013.

"It really never left him alone this season," manager Bob Melvin said of Reddick's injury late in the season.
