OAKLAND -- A 19-year-old man shot Saturday afternoon as he drove his Mercedes in East Oakland has died from his wounds, police said Thursday.
Police said Damon Marbley, of Oakland, died Wednesday at Highland Hospital where he had been on life support since the shooting.
Marbley was driving his Mercedes in the 8400 block of MacArthur Boulevard about 2;15 p.m. when someone shot him from outside the car. Police said he drove to the 8600 block of MacArthur near Castlemont High School where he crashed into a parked vehicle.
Police have not established a motive for the shooting and no arrests have been made.
Police on Thursday also identified a man found shot to death Wednesday morning inside a vacant house in East Oakland.
Dreshon Hunter, 23, of Oakland. was found dead about 1:20 a.m. Wednesday inside the vacant house in the 2700 block of 76th Avenue. Police have not determine when he was killed or a motive and have not identified who shot him.
Hunter was found by friends who were concerned over not having heard from him. Even though the house was vacant, Hunter and other people had been hanging out there, police said.
