Aidan Goltra

SPORT: Cross country

YEAR: Senior.

THE STAT LINE: Goltra earned his second consecutive championship in the state Division III race by outkicking two runners to the finish line. His time of 15 minutes, 2 seconds, on the 3.1-mile course at Woodward Park in Fresno ranks No. 3 all-time in the boys Division III race.

De'Angelo Hernandez

SCHOOL: Salesian. SPORT: Football

YEAR: Senior. POSITION: Running back

THE STAT LINE: Hernandez rushed for 207 yards and the final two touchdowns of the game as the Pride defeated Valley Christian 19-13 to win the NCS Division V championship. He scored on a 62-yard run in the third quarter, then had the game-winning touchdown on a 32-yard run early in the fourth quarter.

Allison Chuang

SCHOOL: Albany. SPORT: Tennis

YEAR: Junior. THE STAT LINE: Chuang won her second straight NCS singles title with a 7-5, 6-3 victory over Rickimae Torres of Dougherty Valley in the Division I championship match. She won all her matches in straight sets in the tournament and allowed more than three games to an opponent in a set only once.

Chloe Hansel

SCHOOL: Las Lomas.

SPORT: Cross country

YEAR: Sophomore.

THE STAT LINE: Hansel placed fourth in the state Division III girls championship race with a time of 18:09 for the 3.1-mile course at Woodward Park. Hansel lowered her time and place from the 2012 state meet, when she placed 16th in 18:47.

BOYS

LIAM GODFREY, St. Mary's, football, Sr. -- The receiver caught six passes for 164 yards, including touchdown receptions of 10 and 97 yards, and also scored on a 36-yard end-around run in the Panthers' 35-29 upset victory over No. 1 seed San Marin in a NCS Division IV semifinal victory.

SUMNER HOUSTON, De La Salle, football, Sr. -- The two-way lineman was a menace on defense and also helped pave the way for the Spartans to roll up 431 yards of offense in a 57-27 victory over Deer Valley in the NCS Division I semifinals. He finished with 12 tackles and 2.5 sacks.

GIRLS

KATE BERRY, San Ramon Valley, Sr. -- Berry, a setter, finished her high school career with two aces, 52 assists and five digs in the Wolves' loss to Palo Alto in the first round of the NorCal playoffs.

ALEXA MARTINEZ, St. Joseph Notre Dame, volleyball, Sr. -- The libero had 25 digs and seven aces in the Pilots' victory over Los Molinos in the first round of the Division V NorCal playoffs. She then had 28 digs in a win over Vacaville Christian in the semifinals.
