Cougars are favorites again in EBAL
The class of the East Bay Athletic League for many years, the Carondelet High basketball team looks to be the favorite again this season. Led by Nebraska-bound point guard Natalie Romeo, pictured right during the 2012-2013 season, the Cougars went 7-2 in December nonleague games against some top-notch competition. Entering the Jan. 7 EBAL opener against Granada, Romeo was averaging 20.6 points, 8.8 assists and 6.8 rebounds per game. Makenzie Cast adds 18 points per game. Carondelet travels to Foothill on Jan. 10 at 7 p.m. in its following EBAL game.
