LIVERMORE -- The Zone 7 Water District Board will hold a special drought meeting starting at 7 p.m. Wednesday to discuss potential water shortages this year in the Tri-Valley and what to do about the situation.

Zone 7 typically gets 80 percent of its water supply from the State Water Project, but the state has warned that it may slash deliveries to 5 percent of allocations this year.

Zone 7 sells wholesale water to retailers that provide it to 200,000 people in Livermore, Pleasanton, Dublin and the Dougherty Valley in San Ramon.

Zone 7's board meeting room is at 100 North Canyons Parkway in Livermore.
