"The Case Against 8" won the Audience Award in the Festival Favorites category at the recently concluded South by Southwest Film Festival in Austin, Texas.

The film, which was partially set in the Bay Area, focuses on the historic case to overturn the ban on same-sex marriage in California.

"The Case Against 8" had previously won an award at the Sundance Film Festival.
