Singer Clairdee to perform with CAE band

Soul-jazz singer Clairdee joins the Walnut Creek Civic Arts Jazz Band at 3 p.m. April 6 at the Shadelands Auditorium, 111 N. Wiget Lane in Walnut Creek.

With a powerful voice that belies her petite frame, San Francisco-based Clairdee brings a romantic tone to timeless standards. She adds her own fresh approach to songs by Duke Ellington, Jule Styne and the Gershwins.

"She is committed to educating and empowering people through music, which fits in perfectly with our work here at CAE," said jazz band Director Max Pricco.
