Center Repertory Company's 2014-15 season features many of the elements it has been doing so well -- toe-tapping musicals, door-slamming comedies and thrill-a-minute mysteries.

The Walnut Creek stage company's season kicks of with "Life Could Be a Dream" (Aug. 29-Oct. 5), the doo-wop-fueled Roger Bean revue that features such 1960s hits as "Fools Fall in Love," "Tears on My Pillow," "Runaround Sue," "Earth Angel," and more. Then comes "Deathtrap" (Oct. 24-Nov. 22), the high-adrenaline mystery/comedy that blends Agatha Christie with Neil Simon.

Following the annual Dickens classic "A Christmas Carol" (Dec. 11— 21), Center Rep opens 2015 with "The Book Club Play" (Jan. 30—Feb. 28), Karen Zacarias' comedy about readers' group that finds itself the subject of a documentary (no pressure there!).

"Mistress of the Inn" (April 3—May 2, 2015), is a new adaptation of Carlo Goldoni's 18th-century comedy. And "Anything Goes" (May 22—June 27, 2015) ushers in the sublime tunes of Cole Porter.

Also, the company's Off-Center series will feature performances by Sara Moore, the San Francisco-based clown and her Thrillride Mechanics troupe in the "Alice in Wonderland"-inspired "Wunderworld," as well as a performance by San Francisco's Improv Playhouse.
