Patty Cakes Storytime: 11 a.m. Tuesdays, through May 13. It is for kids ages 0-3 with a caregiver.
Picture Book Time: 11 a.m. Thursdays through May 8, is for kids ages 3-5 who can attend without a caregiver.
Book Buddies: 1-2 p.m. Wednesdays. (Call 925-673-0659 to confirm the program on a specific Wednesday). A book buddy reader is in the library to read stories to children 3 and older.
Photo Bug Hunt -- A Homeschooler Program with Becky Jaffe: 1:30-3:30 p.m. May 7. Becky Jaffe, a photographer, naturalist and educator will lead students through a brief presentation, followed by a nature walk and photo hunt. Participants will crawl through underbrush of Mitchell Creek looking for insects, and photographing, identifying and observing. After the walk, photos will be reviewed together and selected images chosen for display at the library. Bring camera, field guides and curiosity, and wear clothes that can get dirty. Tweens and teens and their families are welcome.

Gardening Stories and Craft: 11-11:40 a.m. May 15. Kids ages 3-7 can listing to a special reading, "Where's Your Grandma Today," about volunteering, shared by the Assistance League of Diablo Valley. There will also be a craft. Register in advance.
Clayton Library Book Club: 7-9 p.m. on the second Mondays is open to interested adults. Sunny Solomon leads the discussion May 12.

Preschool Story Time: 10:30-11 a.m. Wednesdays through May 7. It is for children 3½-5 and features stories and songs.
Bilingual Storytime: 1:30-2 p.m. Mondays through June 2. Kids ages 0-5 can listen to stories and songs in English and Spanish.
Toddler Tumble Time: noon-1:15 p.m. Thursdays through May 22. A five-week playgroup features early literacy toys and activities for tots ages 1-3½. Registration is required and limited to 25 children.
LEGO & Listen: 7 p.m. May 12. Kids ages 6-12 can build with Lego blocks while listening to a recorded book. Registration is required, and space is limited.
Movie Monday: 7-8:30 p.m. April 28, May 19. Kids ages 5-11 are invited to watch a G- or PG-rated film.
Magician, Brian Scott: 7-8 p.m. May 5. The family is invited for an evening with magician Brian Scott/
Free Tutoring: 5-7 p.m. Mondays; and 4-6 p.m. Wednesdays, through May 21. Responsible teen volunteers will tutor all subjects and all ages. Contact Christina Gendron at 925-646-5455 with questions or to become a tutor.
Insiders: 1-2 p.m. April 27, May 28. Adults with disabilities can enjoy a laid-back setting in the library for enrichment and fun. Events differ each month and vary from arts and crafts, enjoying music and dance, and playing games on the Wii.
Concord Mystery Book Club: 2:30 p.m. the second Sunday of the month, and mystery lovers are invited to join the group. On May 11, the discussion will be on "Arsenic and Old Paint," by Hailey Lind.
All Ears Reading: 1-2 p.m. May 14. Adults with disabilities can enjoy the unconditional love of dogs and practice reading to furry friends. Dogs and their handlers are supplied courtesy of a partnership between the library and Tony LaRussa's Animal Rescue Foundation.
