Two suspects were arrested after a brief chase Saturday morning that ended with the discovery of a stash of cash, drugs and at least five guns in the getaway car, according to Antioch police.

At approximately 8 a.m. Saturday police received a call about a suspicious vehicle in the area of D Street and West Tregallas Road, according to Lt. John VanderKlugt. Officers responded and located the vehicle, which fled after seeing police.

A brief chase ensued through the neighborhood, but ended when the suspects' car crashed into a tree, VanderKlugt said.

After searching the car, police found two rifles, three handguns and an unspecified quantity of cash and drugs. VanderKlugt would not disclose how much money or what type or quantity of drugs the suspects were transporting, pending investigation.
