The following excerpts are from the Brentwood police logs June 1-6.

Sunday, June 1

  • theft -- At 11:48 a.m., a female was arrested on suspicion of theft by loss prevention staff at a business on Lone Tree Way. Several friends came into the store, causing a disturbance.

  • accident -- A noninjury hit-and-run accident was reported at 1:34 p.m. on Lone Tree Way.

  • theft -- An individual stole approximately 10 to 15 pairs of jeans from a store on Lone Tree Way. Loss was estimated at $700.

    Monday, June 2

  • Assault -- Someone at a school on Second Street was arrested at 11:33 p.m. on suspicion of assaulting a campus security officer and teacher. The suspect was taken to juvenile hall.

  • burglary -- A residence was reported burglarized at 5:34 p.m. on West Country Club Drive. Tools were taken.

  • burglary -- A burglar opened a camper shell at 5:08 p.m. and stole tools.

    Tuesday, June 3

  • drugs -- An arrest for suspected drug possession occurred at 11:03 p.m. in Fruitwood Commons.

  • drugs -- An individual contacted in the side yard of a residence on Cornsilk Court was arrested at 12:01 p.m. for suspected methamphetamine possession.

  • theft -- An individual was arrested on suspicion of theft at a business on Lone Tree Way at 2:16 p.m. Officers also discovered that the suspect had an outstanding warrant out of Merced.

    wednesday, June 4

  • drugs -- At 8:53 a.m. an individual on Brentwood Boulevard was arrested for suspected drug possession. The suspect was also arrested on suspicion of possessing drug paraphernalia.

  • kidnapping -- At 9:51 a.m. the biological parents of a female child allegedly tried to lure her to go with them at a location on Brentwood Boulevard. The suspects lost custody of her two years ago.

  • theft -- It was reported at 5:31 p.m. that approximately $4,000 worth of sunglasses were taken from a business on Sand Creek Road.

    Thursday, June 5

  • Warrant -- At 1:46 a.m. someone was arrested for two outstanding misdemeanor warrants on Prominent Drive.

  • warrant -- A juvenile was arrested on Cornsilk Court for an outstanding felony warrant at 1:43 p.m.

    Friday, June 6

  • dui -- An individual stopped on San Jose Drive for a vehicle code violation was arrested at 11:36 a.m. on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

  • vehicle theft -- At 8:10 p.m. it was reported that a vehicle was stolen from Sycamore Avenue.

  • vehicle theft -- At 10:50 a.m. it was reported that a vehicle was stolen from First Street.
