Flames ignite stage

It was time to dance at the July 6 Sunset by the Lake concert, held on the lawn at Pleasant Hill City Hall. The Zydeco Flames had the crowd on its feet with its upbeat Cajun-style music. Lead singer Lloyd Meadows, left, belts out a tune while he plays the rub-board, and concertgoers, above, from left, Doug Davis, Wendy Crosetti and Georgio Zembera dance on the lawn. The free concerts are held at 6 p.m. on alternating Sundays through Sept. 7. Scheduled July 20 is Fast Times, playing the top dance hits of the '80s.
