  • City of Lafayette Public Art Committee Exhibit, 'Adventures in Wildlife and Glass': Features local artists Dwight Yassany and Janice Peacock. The exhibit runs through Aug. 11, at the Lafayette Library gallery, 3491 Mt. Diablo Blvd., and is open 7-9 p.m. Mondays and during public events.

  • Outdoor Summer Concert: 4-6 p.m. July 27, Lafayette Christian Church, 584 Glenside Drive. A 16-piece studio band plays for two hours in the tree-lined courtyard featuring jazz, Count Basie, Frank Sinatra and more.   • Summer Concerts in the Park: 6:30-8:30 p.m. July 22, Orinda Community Park, 28 Orinda Way. It's time to sit back and unwind at a free summer concert with the music of Mike Vax Big Band Jazz Orchestra featuring big band jazz. Sponsored by the Orinda Community Center Auxiliary and supported by the Orinda Parks and Recreation Foundation, Orinda Community Foundation and city of Orinda.   • 2014 NorCal Kids Triathlon: 9 a.m. Aug. 30, Miramonte High School, 750 Moraga Way, Orinda. Swimming, biking and running; distances vary according to age. The event introduces triathlon to young people in a safe and supportive environment with a chance to challenge themselves to something they've never done before. Kids of all ages enjoy a movie, face painting, games, prizes, bounce house, petting zoo, balloon animals and a display of police cars. Proceeds support Special Olympics of Northern California.   • Adonal Foyle's Second annual Swinging for Kids Golf Tournament: 11:30 a.m. (shotgun start) Aug. 11, Moraga Country Club, 1600 St. Andrews Drive, Moraga. Join retired NBA veteran Adonal Foyle and more for a day of golf benefiting the Kerosene Foundation. The tournament includes celebrity golfers, lunch, beer served on the green, snacks throughout the course, live and silent auctions, raffles and more. Individual golfer $250.
