The following excerpts are from the Brentwood police logs July 25-27.

FRIDAY, July 25

  • THEFT -- Someone entered an unlocked vehicle and stole cash on First Street.

  • DRUG POSSESSION -- An arrest at 10:26 p.m. was made on St. Andrews Drive when someone was found in possession of two ounces of marijuana. The subject was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

    SATURDAY, July 26

  • BURGLARY -- It was reported at 10:13 a.m. that someone attempted to burglarize a model home in the Palmilla subdivision on Pacifica Drive. A television was damaged but no items were taken.

  • ASSAULT -- Two individuals were involved in an assault on Shady Willow Lane at 10:09 p.m. No prosecution was desired by the two parties.

  • Vandalism -- Someone drove onto a lawn on American Avenue and caused significant damage. The incident was reported at 12:39 p.m.

  • THEFT -- A front license plate was reported missing from Solitude Way at 5:54 a.m. It was located by the Pittsburg Police Department.

  • ACCIDENT -- A vehicle collided with a guardrail on Empire Avenue at 9:24 p.m. and a driving under the influence arrest was made and the subject was released with a promise to appear in court.

  • THEFT -- Two individuals stole a bottle of alcohol from a Lone Tree Way business and fled the scene in a white Dodge. The loss was $40.

  • Residential Fire -- A garage fire was reported on Spring Street at 4:03 a.m. It was caused by an electrical spark and there were no reported injuries.

  • DRUG Possession -- A vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation on Balfour Road at 6:41 p.m. and the driver was in possession of suspected methamphetamine. The driver was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

  • DUI ARREST -- A vehicle was stopped on Oak Street and the driver was found to be driving under the influence at 12:32 a.m. The arrestee was taken to the Martinez Detention Facility.
