ANTIOCH -- Nuhad Levasseur and In The Light Voice Studio present "Enchanted" at 3 p.m. Aug. 16 at the El Campanil Theatre, 602 W. Second St.
The show features highlights from Disney shows, such as "Aladdin," "Beauty and the Beast," "Frozen," "Enchanted," and others. Also included in the showcase are highlights from the Broadway musicals "Wicked" and "Into The Woods."
Many of In The Light Voice Studio's singers have been on American Idol, appeared in major television shows, and have gone on to land recording contracts.

Rodeo House will sing country music at series
ANTIOCH -- The Arts and Cultural Foundation of Antioch presents the Saturday Summer Concert Series with Rodeo House featuring country music.
The performance is from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Waldie Plaza, Second and I streets in downtown Antioch.
The free concert series is hosted by the Arts and Cultural Foundation of Antioch, The Lesher Foundation, East County Times, city of Antioch, Republic Services, NRG, Clay Millias & Co. LLP and the Antioch Chamber of Commerce.
Seating is not provided, so bring blankets or lawn chairs. Alcohol is not permitted.

Art Guild puts call
out for artists
BRENTWOOD -- The Art Guild of the Delta presents a First Judged Show 2014 at the gallery, 2485 Sand Creek Road.
An opening reception will be 5 to 8 p.m. Aug. 16. Bring a bottle of wine or beverage to share.
Exhibit hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays.
All 2D and 3D to include glass, pottery and sculptures are acceptable.
Cash award for Best in Category of 2D, 3D and Juror's Choice. Honorable mentions in each category will also be awarded. Artists' works will be available for purchase during the show with proceeds distributed to the artists.

The Diamonds to perform rock 'n' roll
ANTIOCH -- The Diamonds sparkle in Antioch with classic '50s rock 'n' roll at 3 p.m. Sunday at the El Campanil Theatre, 602 W. Second St.
In 1957 The Diamonds released an instant million-selling "Little Darlin'" hit. The song continues to sell worldwide dubbed "the national anthem of rock and roll." The group's many accomplishments include: 33 appearances on American Bandstand, Doo-Wop Hall of Fame, Vocal Group Hall of Fame, 16 hit records, three certified gold records, soundtracks of "American Graffiti" and "Happy Days."

PCT announces auditions, season lineup
PITTSBURG -- Pittsburg Community Theatre will hold auditions for "Hound of the Baskerville" from 7 to 9 p.m. Aug. 18, 19 and 21 at the Pittsburg Presbyterian Church, 200 E. Leland.
The Sherlock Holmes' mystery will be performed Oct. 2-5 at the California Theatre in downtown Pittsburg.
Other shows scheduled include Disney's "Mulan Jr." Dec. 11-13; Feb. 27, 28, March 1, 6, 7, 8; "Barefoot in the Park," April 23-26.

Starry Nights concert brings soul punk
BRENTWOOD -- The city of Brentwood Starry Nights in Brentwood concert series continues Friday with Down North featuring soul punk.
The concert is in City Park, 710 Second St., beginning at 7 p.m. Ample parking is available in the parking garage at 150 City Park Way. Bring lawn chairs, blankets and a picnic basket, and enjoy the first of eight summer concerts in the park.
All patrons are asked to follow park rules before, during and after the concerts. That includes no dogs, no glass containers and no audio/video recording devices.

Art, wine & jazz fest coming to Brentwood
BRENTWOOD -- The Brentwood Art Society will host the annual Brentwood Art, Wine & Jazz Festival at the Streets of Brentwood, 2565 Sand Creek Road.
The event is 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Aug. 30 and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 31. The festival brings together local vintners, artists and musicians representing a multiple genres of jazz.
The Artist Garden will feature original pieces by more than 40 local artists in various media, including oil watercolor, pencil, clay, bronze and more.
Wine at the Fountain will host local vintners and wineries, including Hannah Nicole Vineyards, Bloomfield Vineyards, Tamayo Family Vineyards, J. Doran Vineyards, and Cline Cellars. For those who prefer a microbrew, Black Diamond Brewery and BJ's Restaurant and Brewery will offer cold brews.
Jazz on the Stage offers music featuring the jazz talents of Kaye Bohler, Juan Escovedo, Delta Wires and more, along with performances by the Big Bands of Liberty and Heritage high schools and a cappella groups, including Divas, Pink Ladies and Jag.

BRENTWOOD -- CR Framing and Gallery will present The Art of Diablo through Sept. 13.

Six artists featured in exhibit at Umpqua Bank
ANTIOCH -- The Arts & Cultural Foundation of Antioch and Antioch's Umpqua Bank will co-host an exhibit featuring six local artists. The new exhibit, which began Tuesday, continues through Sept. 26.
Featured artists are Michele Eakin, Jennifer Frost, Ron Johnson, Christine Mikulice and Andre Salvador.
Umpqua Bank is at 3700 Lone Tree Way and is open weekdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding holidays.
