PITTSBURG -- One person was injured Saturday in a two-acre grass fire near a Pittsburg apartment building, according to the Contra Costa Fire Protection District.

Dispatchers did not immediately have details about the extent of the person's injuries, or the cause of the fire. Television station ABC7 reported that it may have been caused by fireworks.

Firefighters first heard of the blaze on vegetation between a state Highway 4 sound wall and an apartment building on Range Road just before 2 p.m. The fire was extinguished before 2:30 p.m.
