OAKLAND -- A 20-year-old man was shot in the arm late Thursday while walking on a West Oakland street, police said.
The man was in stable condition at a hospital and is expected to recover, authorities said.
The shooting happened about 11:40 p.m. Thursday as the man walked in the 2400 block of San Pablo Avenue.
The Oakland man told police he suddenly felt pain in his right arm and realized he had been shot. He said he did not see a gunman and did not know why anyone would want to shoot him.
