Police have arrested two men and a woman in connection with a Friday afternoon fatal shooting on the 200 block of Marin Street in Vallejo.

Ronnell B. Rucks, 22, of Vallejo was shot about 1:30 p.m. Friday in front of the P building of the Marina Vista apartments, authorities said.

Police arrested Lavell McGary, 22, of Antioch and Daryl Gilmore, 24, of San Leandro on suspicion of murder, Lt. Jim O'Connell said.

They also arrested Shaandreiac Gilmore, 23, of Vallejo on suspicion of accessory to murder, O'Connell said.

All three were booked into Solano County Jail.

The arrests were made at 8 p.m. at the Vallejo police station, but O'Connell declined to offer further details, and no other information about the homicide was available.

Rucks was pronounced dead at the scene immediately after the shooting Friday. Witnesses said he had been visiting the complex when shots were fired from a green two-door vehicle, which then sped off.

The killing was Vallejo's sixth homicide of 2008, and the second recent one at a downtown-area apartment complex.

On June 16, Charles Chandler II, 19, was shot and killed at the 201 Maine St. complex as he rode his bike into Marina Vista to visit family in the apartments, police said.
