Jon Bon Jovi has opened up about his daughter's drug overdose and arrest, calling the situation a "tragedy" and saying his family will get through it together.

Stephanie Bongiovi, 19, was arrested Nov. 14 after police responded to a call about an overdose in a Hamilton College in Clinton, N.Y. She faced misdemeanor drug possession charges, but prosecutors dropped the case under a New York law granting immunity to those involved when official help is sought during a life-threatening overdose.

"It's human," Bon Jovi told Fox 11 on Tuesday night while promoting the soundtrack to "Stand Up Guys," according to the Los Angeles Times. He went on to say that although being a rock star might seem glamorous, it's ultimately just another way to make a living. "And then life goes on. Things happen. This tragedy was something that I had to face too so we'll get through it. And people's warm wishes for my family and I have been really reassuring. So, we're good."
