COURTESY INTERNET CAT VIDEO FESTIVAL The Cat Man of West Oakland will be featured in the Cat Video Festival in Oakland on Saturday.

Clearly, the Internet was invented so people could view videos of cats playing the piano, because you really just can't get enough cats, especially when they're playing the piano. Or chasing laser lights. Or just plain looking cute.

And now, you can see these adorable snippets in larger-than-life format and a frenzy of feline felicity during the Oakland Internet Cat Video Festival on Saturday.

A 70-minute film of the best cat videos will be thrown up on a 100-foot exterior wall called The Great Wall of Oakland, on West Grand between Telegraph and Broadway. Music and cat-related events begin at 3 p.m., with videos starting after sundown.

Tickets are $10 and proceeds benefit the East Bay SPCA.; www.oaklandvidfest.eventbrite.com.
