Oakland Ballet's spring season pays homage to Ballets Russes, the revered early-20th-century Russian company, and its founder/choreographer, Sergei Diaghilev.

The program includes new works by Amy Seiwert (re-imagining Diaghilev's jazz-infused "Les Biches"), Robert Moses (a new take on the classic "Le Spectre de la Rose") and company director Graham Lustig (the commedia dell'arte-inspired "Pulcinella").

Performances are 8 p.m. May 10 and 2 and 8 p.m. May 11 at Malonga Casquelourd Center for the Arts, 1428 Alice St., Oakland. Tickets are $20-$35; www.oaklandballet.org.
